Elijah's Legacy

From Louange de sa gloire:
Elijah, the man of God, the zealous servant, has left his mark on salvation history. He is venerated even today by Christians, Jews and Moslems.

If Elijah has left his mark on salvation history, he has also left it on the Carmelite Order. From its origin on Mount Carmel at the dawn of the thirteenth century the Order of Carmel has venerated Elijah as its leader and model. The prophet of Carmel belongs to the roots of the Order. So much so, that if in the future Carmel were to forget its relationship to Elijah, it would soon pass out of existence. For any society, and this is true of a religious society, once separated from its roots slowly fragments. A society without roots is like a flower pulled loose from its bed that blossoms for a while and then withers and dies. Carmel, then, must never be separated from its spiritual father.

Today, Thursday, July 16, 2015 A.D., is the 2,003rd day in the 2,300 day cleansing period of Daniel 8:14; the 1,038th day in the 1,290 and 1,335 periods of Daniel 12:11 & 12, respectively.

There are 296 days until the Day of the Lord. (Malachi 4:5)

Daniel 12:12 includes : "Blessed is he who waits and comes unto 1,335 days."

That 1,335th day is the Day of the Lord, Ascension Sunday, May 8, 2016 A.D., the First Year of the Judgment.

The simultaneous reckoning of the 2,300th day of Daniel 8:14 with the 1,335th day of Daniel 12:12 brings us to the stark realization that the powers of heaven (Three Days of Darkness) have been moved :

from Great and Holy Thursday, March 24, 2016 A.D. through Great and Holy Saturday, March 26, 2016 A.D.,

to Ascension Thursday, May 5, 2016 A.D., through Ascension Saturday, May 7, 2016 A.D.,

to Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2016 A.D., through November 26, 2016 A.D. (the last day of a reckoning of the First Liturgical Year of the Judgment).

Similar movements can be seen for the Liturgical Years of 2017 A.D. and 2018 A.D., with a final count for the 2,298th through the 2,300th days (of Daniel 8:14) occurring on December 27, 2018 A.D. through December 29, 2018 A.D.
