Triduum in Tulsa

In honor of the Year of the Priesthood their will be three days of devotions in honor of St. John Mary Vianney on August.
For the Year of the Priesthood
SOLEMN DIOCESAN TRIDUUM IN HONOR OF
SAINT JOHN MARY VIANNEY, PATRON OF PRIESTS


Our priests, deacons, religious, and lay faithful are invited to assemble on three consecutive evenings to pray for the priests of our diocese and of the whole Church.

Where: Holy Family Cathedral, Tulsa
When: 6:30 each evening
Sunday, August 2
Monday, August 3
Tuesday, August 4

The Triduum will end on the feast of Saint John Mary Vianney.

Yes.
When we lived in the Tulsa diocese, the bishop encouraged Friday adoration to pray for priests and in reparation for the scandals in the church.

Tulsa is still considered mission territory for Catholics, but the Osage tribe has many Catholics, thanks to the sisters who ran local schools.

They still remembers that French Catholics who rescued some of their men who were stranded when a "wild west" show went bankrupt.
A couple years ago, some people from that town came to visit, and we had a Mass with them, with readings in English, Osage and French.
